    Peter Biggs CNZM

    Peter Biggs is Chair of the Wellington Region Economic Development Agency (WREDA). Prior to taking up that role in November 2014, Peter was, for eight years, Chief Executive of advertising agency Clemenger BBDO which he built into one of the top 10 advertising agencies in the world. Before moving to Melbourne in 2006, he was Managing Director of New Zealand Agency of the Year, Clemenger BBDO in Wellington.

    Peter is Chair of the New Zealand Book Council, a Board member of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Government’s WW1 Centenary Panel.

    He was named Wellingtonian of the Year in 2003 and was appointed a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2013.

    Peter Jackson

    A former NZ Army officer, Peter Jackson brings with him 28 years of military experience, including operational service in Somalia, East Timor, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Afghanistan. At present, he is also Deputy Chair of the Featherston Community Board, and Vice-President of the Featherston Memorial RSA Inc.

    Coincidentally, Peter has a personal connection with Featherston Military Camp where, in 1917, his grandfather did his basic military training before deploying to Egypt and serving in Palestine.

    Peter contributes his experience in governance, administration, research, and communication to Featherston Camp Memorial Trust.

    Kate Mead

    Kate works for Radio New Zealand Concert. She is also a cellist and a Trustee for SOUNZ, the Centre for NZ Music and for Toi Wairarapa. Her present projects include working with an exceptional group that has resulted in Featherston becoming made a Booktown.

    Ross Vickery

    Ross was a navigator in the Royal New Zealand Air Force from 1974-1993. He retired as a Squadron Leader and is now a lawyer working in Wellington.

    David Kernohan MNZM

    David Kernohan is an architect and a former Associate Professor of architecture at VUW. He is author of five books on architecture. He is presently a Deputy Environment Commissioner and with his wife, Christine, owner/operators of Gladstone Vineyard. He was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2015 for services to architecture.

    Jean McDowall

    Jean is owner of 100% ProofRed, a business based in New Zealand’s greater Wellington area. She is an experienced writer, editor, and proofreader with an extensive list of both public sector and private clients.

    Jean has over 20 years of varied experience in both government and private sector work, including roles as contracts manager for a domestic building company, and as manager of a garden centre and plant nursery. She brings her expertise in contracts management and written communications to this role.
