24 January 2016 is the official launch of our Boosted fundraising campaign. Boosted is a crowdfunding website funded by the Arts Foundation and we are grateful for the advice and expertise provided by our Boosted colleagues.

24 January 1916 was the date the first soldiers arrived at the Featherston Military Training Camp. To celebrate that centenary we are holding a Regimental Mess themed luncheon at the Anzac Hall (built by Featherston’s founding families to provide the Camp trainees a recreational facility on their days off) to launch our Boosted campaign.

Tickets are now on sale for the luncheon through EventFinda (www.eventfinda.co.nz), or by phoning Lesley Wardle on 06 308 9011.

Aperitifs will be served at 12 pm, followed by a three-course luncheon plus cheeseboard, with a glass of wine matched to each course. Guest speaker is Tim Shoebridge, historian and author of Featherston Military Training Camp and the First World War. Coffee and petit fours will wrap up the formal part of the afternoon. Non-alcoholic drinks with the meal are included and a cash bar will also be available.

We are very pleased to have chef Ant North masterminding the food, and a very big thank you goes to Gladstone Vineyard for supplying the wine.
